Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Program Description: The purpose of the Adult Basic Education program is to provide basic literacy and life skills to adults who are performing at or below the ninth grade level. All students entering this program are required to take a basic skills exam for placement purposes. (TABE)
The program is designed for students who need to improve their skills in reading, writing and/or mathematics. Once the ninth grade level is obtained, students can prepare for the following: take the General Education Development (GED) class to obtain a high school diploma, enter a particular career/technical program or continue their education.
ABE Classes Offered: Monday – Thursday from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
